Dr. Gregory Grant
Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Gregory Grant, one of Photon’s founders, is passionate about the delivery of patient care. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric fracture treatment, Dr. Grant has dedicated his life outside the OR to championing technology solutions that actually help doctors help their patients. In addition to obtaining multiple medical device and healthcare technology patents, he was also the driving force behind developing the workflow solutions that have rapidly evolved into the Photon suite of products.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge (Gonville & Caius College) and Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Grant returned to Phoenix, where he was born and raised, to complete his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. He is currently Chairman or Medical Director of Orthopedics Surgery at multiple hospital systems in the Greater Phoenix Area, and the Chairman and CEO of Photon.


Dr. John Vanderhoof
Founder and Chief Medical Information Officer

Dr. John Vanderhoof is a board certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult and pediatric trauma care, hand surgery, and wound management. He is also a founder of Photon Medical Communications and a major contributor to the workflow and architectural development of Photon’s suite of powerful solutions. John’s dedication to the efficient and effective delivery of health care to patients has been the inspiration that drives his continued leadership within the Company. With an impressive record of accomplishment within medicine and a technical savvy which surpasses that of the average physician, Dr. Vanderhoof is the perfect fit to lead Photon’s development efforts from a clinical perspective.

Post his studies at the University of Maryland and the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Dr. Vanderhoof completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia and passed the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery Examination in the 99th percentile. He has served as Chairman of Orthopedic Surgery at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center and the National Chief Clinical Consultant of the Indian Health Service.


Jason Blood
Chief Technology Officer

Jason is a career IT professional with over 19 years experience. He has been a key player in several successful start-ups ranging from social media to government portals. As Chief Technology Officer at Photon, Jason is the principal architect of the company’s powerful and sophisticated software platform. Prior to joining, Jason established himself as a premiere consultant in the Web and Mobile technology space around the Twin Cities. His software has won several awards including the Microsoft Pinnacle Award and the MACO Best Technology Solution Award.


Chris Radella
Chief Operating Officer

Chris is a veteran healthcare professional with a background in the management of hospital finance, operations and performance improvement. He spent 15 years with HCA as a corporate associate. During this time Mr. Radella has held leadership positions within multiple areas including accounts receivable, quality assurance, project management and process improvement. With Photon, he is committed to forming, developing and maintaining key relationships with top customers and helping to drive the strategic direction of the business. Chris has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Florida State University.


Kevin Cadwell
Director of Sales

Kevin brings over 20 years of healthcare experience helping hospitals, integrated health systems, and physicians improve outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.  He has held several leadership positions including 7 years as Vice President of Sales with Krames Staywell.  Kevin also held Sr. positions at Allscripts, Anodyne Therapy, and McMurry Healthcare.

Jack Craven
Advisor

Jack is primarily responsible for the company’s contract, proposal and vendor management functions, along with managing key customer and outsourcing partnerships. Jack’s background is in the financial industry, with over 30 years of direct experience in operations, acquisitions, systems integration, and payment processing. Prior to joining Photon, he was President of several high growth financial services firms, served as COO for Midwest regional bank, and held senior management positions at US Bancorp. Jack graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y, and has an MBA from Bryant University.

Justin Sarles

Justin Sarles
Director of Implementation and Customer Success

Justin brings to Photon a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, plus 15 years of healthcare experience in hospital, clinic, and medical device organizations.  Leadership roles have included business development, sales & sales management.  During this span his primary external focus has been strategic growth & relationship development, navigating entire organizations in order to reach every level of stake holder, from C-Suite to healthcare providers and their support staff. Inside these organizations he has developed people, led teams, and driven customer success.  With Photon, Justin is committed to continuing these efforts to develop relationships throughout each customers entire organization.  He effectively leads his teams through implementing the Photon suite of products with targeted training, education, and on-going support that match the needs of each specialty and department, including community outreach efforts. Justin is dedicated to maximizing adoption, utilization, and satisfaction with every customer and end user to aid in their growth and success.
